DJ She’s Kim (Kimberly van de Weerd) Was born on the 4th of december 1985 in Utrecht. (Netherlands) Ever since she was a little girl, music was a big passion, she had a great feeling of rhythm.
That feeling of rhythm led to al kind of dancing classes, from ballet, streetdance, to hiphop and gogo dancing. She visited her first party at the age of 16, and watched the DJ make the crowd go wild and realized right there and then, that this was what she wanted to do to… It became her dream to become a DJ!
It took a few years but then she met her mentor to be, DJ Peter Woodz. He helped her weekly with developing her DJ skills, and as it turned out she soon got the hang of it. She obviously was talented, and her dream became reality! Not long after, she bought her first DJ set, and started practicing at home. She practiced for several hours a day to master the technics of spinning. Within a short period of time she was ready for her first gig. Not long after that there followed more performances in the Netherlands. In no-time she knew the ins and outs of being a DJ and it was like she imagined it would be…
DJ She’s Kim is known for her bubbly personality, she’s not the typical lady DJ behind the DJ booth, she is described as a girl with “balls”, and rightfully so! Her style is best described as “uplifting” and “banging” Tech/House/Progressive/with a touch of Electro music and a lot of drops. Whatever she spins, whether it’s tech house or progressive house, there is always a lot of energy in her set. It’s hard to stand still when she is standing behind te decks! She’s Kim is known for “reading” the crowd, building suspence, and letting the crowd explode! She stands out in creating positive energy during her sets. She’s Kim received only positive feedback and enthusiastic reactions during her performances. She also had a very positive review in Clublife Magazine!
She’s been in the line-up with some big Dutch DJ names like Erick E, Benny Rodriques, Carita La Nina, Roog, RAM, and so on…. Just recently She’s Kim started producing her own music. Mark Laurenz is teaching and guiding her in the steps of becoming a producer. Her first track with Mark Laurenz as co-producer is called “F#CKERZ” And this is just the beginning! Watch out for this talented up-coming female DJ, she will be a force to be reckoned with!!!
